Broadway Connect helps you connect with other students, current students and UWA staff, and become part of a welcoming community from the very beginning.

What you can expect
 
Online Community (Chronus)
Stay connected with other Broadway Connect students, Student Ambassadors and UWA staff in a welcoming online community.

• Connect with other students who are starting their UWA journey.
• Ask questions about university life and learn about the opportunities, services and support available at UWA.
• Join informal mentoring conversations with current students.
• Receive updates about upcoming events and opportunities.

 
In-Person Events
Throughout the semester, you'll be invited to relaxed, social events where you can connect with other students, build your community and make the most of your first year at UWA.

• Meet other first-year students in a friendly, welcoming environment.
• Attend a Welcome Event at the beginning of Semester 1 or Semester 2 and receive a Broadway Connect welcome gift.
• Connect with Student Ambassadors who are there to share their experiences, answer your questions and help you find your feet at UWA.

 
Academic Skills Support
As a Broadway Connect student, you'll also have access to workshops delivered by the Academic Skills Centre to help you build confidence in your studies.

• Develop practical study strategies.
• Strengthen your academic skills.
• Learn tips and techniques to support your success throughout the semester.

Who can join?
Broadway Connect is for first-year domestic UWA students who are:

• From a Broadway UWA or Aspire partner school; or
• Moving from a rural, regional or remote area; or
• Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander.
